Sing-along song – Put Your Finger in the Air
Some preschools follow a thematic curriculum every month or so. In the early part of the year, the children usually will learn themes such as “Myself” or “My Body”. I have the habit of creating a playlist for all the suitable songs for a theme. Keep reading to find out which silly song grew on me.
In Bloom School of Music & Arts, our Musikgarten and Tutti programmes follow a specially-designed, comprehensive and progressive curriculum which develop your child’s musical skills, and gradually prepare him/her for formal music education.
Each lesson has age-appropriate and complementary songs and activities that encourage active participation. Children have a natural interest in music, and music–such as action songs–require listening skills, coordination, and movement, all of which are essentials for children’s development and growth.

Put Your Finger in the Air
Original words and music by Woody Guthrie
Adapted by Miss Nina
Put your finger in the air, in the air
Put your finger in the air, in the air
Put your finger in the air,
And wiggle it up there
Put your finger in the air, in the air
Put your finger on your head, on your head
Put your finger on your head, on your head
Put your finger on your head,
Tell me if it’s green or red
Put your finger on your head, on your head
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose
Put your finger on your nose,
Feel the cold wind blow
Put your finger on your nose, on your nose
Put your finger on your shoe, on your shoe
Put your finger on your shoe, on your shoe
Put your finger on your shoe,
Leave it there a week or two
Put your finger on your shoe, on your shoe
Put your finger on your cheek, on your cheek
Put your finger on your cheek, on your cheek
Put your finger on your cheek,
Leave it there about a week
Put your finger on your cheek, on your cheek
Put your finger on your chin, on your chin
Put your finger on your chin, on your chin
Put your finger on your chin,
That’s where your food slips in
Put your finger on your chin, on your chin
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger
Put your finger on your finger,
on your finger, on your finger
Put your finger on your finger, on your finger
